Yamaha TBRX 604 FM Bass Guitar: (2021)
With the TRBX604FM-DRB you get a stunning 4-string electric bass, with a supremely comfortable neck and body shape, sporting a Dark Red Burst finish. Featuring two YGD designed H5 pickups, an audiophile-grade active/passive circuit and 3-band EQ, and Yamaha's thinnest bass neck to date (just 38mm wide at the nut!) you'd be pushed to find a more versatile and finely-crafted bass within the same price bracket.
H5 pickups (as designed by YGD) are renowned for their clean, open tone that works perfectly with the flexibility of the TRBX604's active/passive preamp design. Featuring a quad-pole piece design, and alnico magnet construction, these powerful pickups drive the active circuit with ease, whilst still managing to retain the sensitivity and subtlety required to pick up each and every nuance of you’re playing in passive mode. In addition to the Active/Passive switchable nature of the on-board EQ, the TRBX604 also grants you total tonal control via the Treble, Mid, and Bass Boost/Cut controls (when in Passive mode the Treble control reverts to being a master passive Tone control).
Constructed using high-quality gold-plated parts on key signal chain contacts, the circuitry within the TRBX604 operates with an increased amount of conductivity and reliability than other preamps, and there's even a battery alert LED installed on the back panel, which indicates when the battery is running low on power. Yamaha have designed the TRBX604 to offer the optimum balance between tone and comfort. Its 3D sculpted body sits comfortably against you when you play, ensuring a supremely comfortable playing experience, and is coupled with a fast, ultra-comfortable profiled neck that is constructed to offer both outstanding stability and excellent tone.

Personal Comment:
To begin, I am not a Bass player, however I do need and use one in my recording studio and when I went on a search for a Bass guitar I of course went to those industry standards I knew well, I'm speaking of Fender's Jazz and Precision models to name but a couple. Now as I say, I'm not a bass player but in years gone bye I have from time to time found myself playing bass to help out in different situations and I do quite enjoy the change from playing 6 string guitar.
So why did I choose Yamaha? Well, it was after a good deal of searching and found that this particular guitar had a very good reputation and in particular, touted as a Bass guitar that was easy to handle and yet diverse in tones. As a guitar player I really like this bass, excellent build quality, very comfortable to play, super easy neck profile, and boy do you get a whole range of fabulous tones out of this. I use it for recording duties but would very happily use this both live and in the studio... nice one Yamaha. If you want to know more about this guitar drop me an email.
