TC Electronics Polytune 3 Mini Pedal:

What does TC Electronics say. This is TC Electronics third iteration of the famous pedal in micro form – still retaining all the best bits of what makes the range great. As rightly named, the Polytune offers unique polyphonic tuning, meaning you can strum all the strings at once and it will feed back every string on the LED display. A Bonafide Buffer, first seen on the full size Polytune 3, the Bonafide Buffer is great for countering long cable runs from guitar to pedalboard. It negates tonal degradation by boosting the signal into your effects pedals, making the Polytune 3 perfect for sprawling setups. You can always switch back to a true bypass setting if you don’t require the extra oomph.

Personal Comment:

Before I make my own personal comment I will preface this with a general statement so the reader understands what I'm seeking to convey. EFX pedals are very much a personal choice although clearly, some pedals have more features than others and build cost will have a bearing on what you are getting for your money. Another point to raise is that, pedals may react differently depending on the amplifier in use or whether the pedals are going straight into the front of an amp or are routed via an amplifiers effects loop.

When I came back to playing guitar I was at first quite happy with my clip-on Snark guitar tuner. That is, until I started to get more serious about recording and it was there that I noticed the Snark's limitations. The Polytune 3 is well known tried and tested and I find it very accurate for recording work. On the odd occasion I find I need to power it off and back on as if to clear the display system, otherwise I now find it almost indispensable in the studio.

Talking about pedals is a limited conversation and so click on the link above to view and hear the pedals general tones and specifications. If you want to know more about this pedal drop me an email.
