Personal Comment:
Before I make my own personal comment I will preface this with a general statement so the reader understands what I'm seeking to convey. EFX pedals are very much a personal choice although clearly, some pedals have more features than others and build cost will have a bearing on what you are getting for your money. Another point to raise is that, pedals may react differently depending on the amplifier in use or whether the pedals are going straight into the front of an amp or are routed via an amplifiers effects loop.
So, I first of all bought the TC Spark Boost mini pedal because I was trying to keep a small pedalboard, and was very happy with it until used with one of my favourite valve amplifiers where I found I needed better control over the volume. And so, I sold the mini pedal and bought its larger brother which gives greater control over volume and other tonal choices. I use the pedal with care and with different settings depending what other pedals, guitars or amplifiers I'm using. A simple little pedal to boost and push the drive tones and definitely worth having to give choices.
