What does Soldano say. The SLO PLUS delivers pristine and responsive tones while giving you complete control as modelled on the actual Soldano amplifier head. Each channel features independent Master (output) and Preamp (gain) knobs and a perfectly tuned, amp-like 3-band EQ. The SLO PLUS also includes a Presence control and Deep switch to optimize the pedal’s high and low frequencies to match your equipment.
Personal Comment:
Before I make my own personal comment I will preface this with a general statement so the reader understands what I'm seeking to convey. EFX pedals are very much a personal choice although clearly, some pedals have more features than others and build cost will have a bearing on what you are getting for your money. Another point to raise is that, pedals may react differently depending on the amplifier in use or whether the pedals are going straight into the front of an amp or are routed via an amplifiers effects loop.
So, I bought the Soldano duel channel pedal because number one, I like the Soldano amplifier design and sound and secondly I wanted an alternative to the overdrive pedal I already owned of which some I sold off. I like the pedal, it has a good range of valve-brake-up tone and if I need it, distortion and long sustain which can help out single coil guitars.
