The Tone Master Twin Reverb amplifier uses massive digital processing power to faithfully model the circuitry of an 85-watt power output of an original Twin tube amp. Using a high-performance 200-watt digital power amp to achieve the headroom and dynamic range of a real vintage Twin tube amp, paired with the pronounced sparkle and clarity of two Jensen N-12K neodymium speakers and a resonant pine cabinet, the result is tubeless Twin Reverb tone, volume and dynamics virtually indistinguishable from the all-tube original.
Front panel features give guitarists a playing experience identical to the tube version, including Fender’s world-standard reverb and tremolo effects. Additional rear-panel features deliver modern convenience and flexibility—including an output power selector for full power and five attenuated settings, balanced XLR line output with impulse response (IR) cabinet simulations, mute switch for silent stage or recording use, USB port for firmware upgrades, and more. Personal Comment:
This was the second amplifier that I purchased as I began my return to guitar playing and it got my attention as it was more than half the price of an amplifier combo I had always admired and that being the iconic all valve Fender Twin Reverb. What a beautiful clean tone and fabulous reverb and all in an amplifier that almost looks indiscernible from the icon it is modelled after. The other thing that hits you immediately is when you go to pick it up... yes, you can lift it with a finger! quite astonishing! and yet despite my good report I traded it for another make altogether.
There is now a newer version of the Tone Master series of amplifiers in the stores and they are definitely well worth a look at if your in the market for a digital amplifier. I sold mine because I was looking for a valve amp that could give me great cleans, great overdrive and excellent reverb and so this was traded towards a Bad Cat Black Cat combo.
