CIOKS DC5 Power Supply:

What does Cioks say about this older model. The Cioks DC5 Link Power Supply is the perfect addition to any pedalboard, offering a compact build with five isolated outlets. The first two outlets featured on this model are a 9V and a 12V, offering power for medium to high current pedal, whilst its last two outputs can power two or more standard low current pedals. The output sat directly in between these offers 18V of current, letting you power high voltage pedals. It should be noted that this supply has since been superseded by newer models and designs.

Personal Comment:

Before I make my own personal comment I will preface this with a general statement so the reader understands what I'm seeking to convey. EFX pedals are very much a personal choice although clearly, some pedals have more features than others and build cost will have a bearing on what you are getting for your money. Another point to raise is that, pedals may react differently depending on the amplifier in use or whether the pedals are going straight into the front of an amp or are routed via an amplifiers effects loop.

Power supplies for pedalboards are very common today but you do need to take care in regard to what you are buying because the last thing you want is to damage your expensive pedals. Once again, incorrect or insufficient power to a pedal will cause it to malfunction, let alone may be a fire hazard. The Cioks DC5 model is now discontinued but it works very well on my board and I have had no issues at all. Check-out the Cioks website for their latest models.

Talking about pedals is a limited conversation and so click on the link above to view and hear the pedals general tones and specifications. If you want to know more about this pedal drop me an email.
